Description
A fault with the signalling system between Redhill and Gatwick Airport means fewer trains than normal are able to run on some lines. As a result, Great Western Railway services running between Reading and Gatwick Airport via Guildford and Redhill may be cancelled or revised to terminate / start back from Redhill.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
You may use your ticket, at no extra cost, on Southern and Thameslink services between Redhill and Gatwick Airport, in both directions. Their services are also affected by this problem, but are able to run, though they may be delayed.
If you are travelling from Reading to Gatwick Airport or from Gatwick Airport to Reading, you may travel via London. Your ticket will be accepted, in both directions, on Elizabeth line services between London Paddington and Farringdon, where you can change for Thameslink services towards Gatwick Airport.
