Description

Emergency services are dealing with an incident between Grantham and Doncaster. Whilst they attend to the incident, all lines are closed. Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised, cancelled or diverted.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

  • LNER between London Kings Cross and Leeds / Newcastle

  • Northern between Doncaster and Bradford Interchange

  • Northern between Darlington and Sunderland via Middlesbrough and Newcastle

  • The two Grand Central services operating before and after your cancelled service

  • TransPennine Express between Leeds and Brighouse

  • TransPennine Express between York and Middlesbrough

Hull Trains customer advice:

Replacement buses have been requested to run between Peterborough and Retford. We will provide further information once more is known.

LNER customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following routes:

  • Avanti West Coast between London Euston, Manchester and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh

  • CrossCountry between Sheffield, Doncaster / Leeds, York and Newcastle / Edinburgh

  • East Midlands Railway between London St Pancras International and Sheffield

  • Grand Central between London Kings Cross and York

  • Great Northern and Thameslink between London Kings Cross, Stevenage and Peterborough

  • Northern between Carlisle and Newcastle and any other reasonable route

  • TransPennine Express between Manchester, Leeds York / Newcastle and Edinburgh


Replacement buses are currently running between Peterborough and Doncaster.

Tickets for travel today, Tuesday 3 February will be valid for use up to and including Wednesday 4 February.

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on alternative train services, up to 2 hours before or after the cancelled service or on either of the two LNER services before or after this train, whichever is most appropriate to help you to complete your journey.
