Description

A fault with the signalling system between Seaford and Newhaven Town means that trains have to run at a reduced speed. Trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 10 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

There is an electrical relay fault within the signalling system, affecting one of the signals which controls the passage of trains through Bishopstone. Trains can still run, but drivers need to get verbal permission to proceed, which takes extra time.

Network Rail manage this system, and Southern are closely monitoring progress.
