Description

Following overrunning engineering works in the Southampton Central area all lines have now reopened. However, journeys between Fareham / Winchester and Southampton Central may still be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 15:00.

Because your journey has been heavily disrupted, you can book your own taxi and claim the cost back through the South Western Railway website. This applies to travel between any stations served by South Western Railway between Basingstoke and Bournemouth and between Southampton and Portsmouth. You will need to provide the following details to make a claim:

  • Your full contact details

  • The time and date of your journey

  • The stations you travelled to and from

  • A detailed description of the series of events that took place

  • Copies of your train ticket/s and taxi receipt
