Description
All lines have now reopened following a failure of the electricity supply between Luton and London St Pancras International. Trains running between these stations may continue to be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 09:00.
East Midlands Railway customer advice:
Intercity services are unaffected as they do not require the overhead lines to run.
You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 20 minutes.
Thameslink customer advice:
Earlier today, there was a problem with the electricity supply between St Albans City and London St Pancras International.
All lines have reopened, and are continuing to resume our planned service across this part of the Thameslink network.
However, there are still some delays, alterations and few cancellations.
Alterations to services mean some trains will not stop at some of the usual stations, or will be started/terminated at a different station than planned.
You may need to wait for an alternative train, or change trains more often during your journey, in which case we'd recommend allowing at least 20 minutes of extra time.
Please check your journey before arriving at the station this morning.
Ticket acceptance:
Your ticket will be accepted at no extra cost on the following:
London Underground on any reasonable route.
Southern services on any reasonable route to or from London Bridge or London Victoria
Great Northern to or from London Kings Cross or Moorgate
Planning your journey:
You can see the live departure boards, and view a live map of the network.
You can also view an alternative route guide.
If you're travelling in the London area, you can plan journeys on alternative routes by using the TfL Journey Planner.
You can use the Thameslink app to find up-to-date information.
