Description

Following a fault with the signalling system at Stansted Airport, all lines have reopened. Whilst service recovers, trains may still be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 09:00.

Greater Anglia and Stansted Express customer advice:

Network Rail had advised of a fault with the signalling system involving axle counters at Stansted Airport. An axle counter is a system used in railway signalling to detect the clear or occupied status of a specified section of track. This fault has been rectified.

Alternative travel options

Please be prepared for a delay to your journey. You may need to take a different train than originally planned.

You may need to travel on an accessible replacement bus between Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport.

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
