Route(s) affected

Greater Anglia between Norwich and Stansted Airport, and also between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street

Stansted Express between Stansted Airport and London Liverpool Street

Description

All lines have now reopened following a fault with the signalling system at Stansted Airport. Whilst service recovery is underway, trains may still be delayed up to 30 minutes, cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 10:00.

CrossCountry customer advice:

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following services:

  • The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service

  • Greater Anglia services between Peterborough and Stansted Airport in both directions

If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are our unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.

Greater Anglia / Stansted Express customer advice:

Network Rail have made repairs to a fault with the signalling system at Stansted Airport, allowing all lines to re-open.

While trains on the Cambridge, Hertford East and Bishop Stortford routes are not directly affected, they may still be impacted by disrupted Stansted Express trains.

Service Impact

Trains have been disrupted, but Greater Anglia and Stansted Express are now in the process of restoring trains back to the timetable. Some trains may still be delayed or cancelled whilst this is being done.
