Description
A person has been hit by a train between London and Stevenage. To allow the emergency services to safely access the railway and carry out their work, all lines running between these stations are currently closed.
Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 15:00.

No trains can run between Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage until further notice.
Great Northern and Thameslink would strongly advise delaying your travel until later. If you are already on a train your journey will take longer than usual. Trains may be subject to delays and cancellations. Some services will only run on parts of their normal routes. This means that you may need to use an alternative method to reach your destination.
Please allow at least an extra 60 minutes additional time if you decide to travel now.

Trains that normally run between Kings Cross and Kings Lynn will only run between Cambridge and Kings Lynn
Trains that normally run between Kings Cross and Cambridge will have a reduced hourly service
Trains that normally run between Moorgate and Stevenage will have a reduced hourly service
How is the Thameslink service changing?
While this disruption is ongoing, the following changes will be made to Thameslink services:
Trains that normally run between Brighton and Cambridge are cancelled until further notice
Trains that normally run between Horsham and Peterborough will run fast between East Croydon and Gatwick Airport
Trains that normally run between Three Bridges and Bedford will call additionally at Coulsdon South and Merstham

Rail replacement buses
Great Northern and Thameslink have been able to resource some replacement buses, so you may be able to use these to get to your destination.
These buses will operate between Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage.
