Description

The fire brigade have completed their work in dealing with an incident near the railway in the Llansamlet area. This means that all lines between Neath and Swansea have now reopened.

This is also impacting services running towards Llanelli.

Whilst service recovers, trains to / from Swansea may be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised to terminate at a different station on their route.

Disruption is expected until 15:00.

Great Western Railway customer advice:

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

You may wish to consider postponing your journey until service returns to normal.

Transport for Wales customer advice:

The following rail replacement buses have been confirmed and are currently in operation:

  • To Swansea and Neath - provided by Cymru and AC Jenkins

  • To Bridgend and Port Talbot Parkway - provided by Teulu and AC Jenkins
