Between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst

Description

A fault on a train between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst means the line towards Brockenhurst is currently closed. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

South Western Railway customer advice:

The train crew are in contact with our fleet maintenance team who are investigating and working towards fixing the fault.

In order to help you complete your journey at no extra cost to yourself, we have ticket acceptance in place on the following:

  • Great Western Railway train services between Southampton Central and Reading via Basingstoke and between Southampton Central and Weymouth via Westbury.

    • 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 between Southampton - Millbrook - Redbridge - Totton

    • 6 between Southampton - Totton - Ashurst - Brockenhurst - Lymington

  • Morebus routes

    • X1 and X2 between Lymington - New Milton - Christchurch - Bournemouth

    • 120 between New Milton - Sway - Lymington

    • 119 between New Milton and Lymington

    • 1A, 1B and 1C between Bournemouth - Pokesdown - Christchurch

    • 22 between Bournemouth and Pokesdown

    • 33 between Bournemouth - Pokesdown – Christchurch

    • M1 and M2 between Bournemouth - Branksome - Parkstone - Poole

    • 16 and 17 between Bournemouth - Branksome - Parkstone - Poole

    • 18 between Bournemouth - Branksome - Parkstone

    • 20 between Bournemouth - Branksome - Parkstone - Poole

    • 36 between Bournemouth and Branksome

    • 8 and 9 between Poole and Hamworthy

    • 40 between Poole and Wareham

  • First Bus route

    • 10 between Weymouth, Upwey and Dorchester

    • X51 between Weymouth and Dorchester

    • X54 between Wareham, Wool and Weymouth

In addition to the above, we have had replacement buses in place since 11:30 - due to the ad hoc requirement of these, they will not be running to a timetable.
