Description

Following a safety inspection of the track between Didcot Parkway and Swindon all lines are now open. Trains running between these stations may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 50 minutes whilst service recovers.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following:

  • CrossCounty between Worcestershire Parkway and Exeter St Davids via Cheltenham Spa, Bristol Parkway, Bristol Temple Meads, and Taunton

  • Transport for Wales between Newport and Carmarthen via Cardiff Central and Swansea

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

If you have a ticket for travel today Friday 10 July and have been affected by this disruption and decide not to travel, your ticket will be valid with no extra cost for travel tomorrow Saturday 11 July.
