Description

Forecast severe weather across the South Western Railway means some lines may be disrupted. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

We expect this disruption to continue until the end of the day tomorrow, Tuesday 27 January.

What We're Doing About It

Severe weather is expected this evening and overnight across the South Western Railway network, as a result some late night services and early morning services may be altered in order to minimise disruption.

In addition to the above, disruption is expected throughout tomorrow as the predicted bad weather continues so please plan your journey as a result.

The following areas will be subject to delays as speed restrictions will be imposed:

  • Axminster and Honiton

  • Weymouth and Dorchester South

If you need any help with your journey, please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.

If you would prefer to use local buses to continue your journey please check Traveline. South Western Railway tickets are not valid on local buses unless stated above.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
