Description
Lines have reopened following an earlier trespass incident at Three Bridges. As services recover, trains running through this station may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 18:00.

Earlier this afternoon, trains were brought to a stand and unable to run through the Three Bridges area for around 30 minutes. All lines have since reopened, and staff are working to return services to a normal timetable as soon as possible. Delays, alterations and cancellations are all still possible, with some services having cancelled stops and some services terminating and restarting at a different station to normal.
You can travel using your normal route today but should allow extra time. You may need to take a different train than planned or change trains en route in order to complete your journey. You are advised to allow around an extra 20-30 minutes.
Tickets will be accepted for no extra cost via the following alternatives:
Any Southern, Thameslink or Gatwick Express service via any reasonable route
London Underground via any reasonable route including between London Terminals

Earlier this afternoon, a trespass incident was reported in the Three Bridges area, and trains were stopped for safety. Emergency services and Network Rail have attended and removed the person to a position of safety, and all lines have since reopened.
Trespassing on the railway is extremely dangerous. Trains run at all times, often without warning, and many areas have high-voltage third rails, steep drops, and other hazards.
It is also illegal, with serious penalties for obstructing the railway.
