Description

A car has been struck at a level crossing between Uttoxeter and Derby. As a result, all lines are closed. Trains between Stoke-on-Trent and Derby may be cancelled, delayed by over 60 minutes or revised.

Trains will be revised to not run between Tutbury & Hatton and Derby.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

A car has been struck at level crossing. This is between Uttoxeter and Derby and is disrupting trains on the Newark Castle / Derby / Crewe route.

Emergency services and Network Rail are on site investigating the issue.

How do I get where I need to be?

You should continue to travel as originally planned however your journey may be delayed by 60 minutes.

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost to travel via the following train operators:

  • Cross Country

    • Between Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham New Street

    • Between Derby and Nottingham

    • Between Birmingham New Street and Tamworth

  • London Northwestern Railway

    • Between Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent

    • Between Crewe, Birmingham New Street and Tamworth



Alternative routes will extend you journey by approximately 90 minutes.

Buses replacement services have been requested. However, these haven't been confirmed.
