Lines reopened: disruption between Wokngham / Bahshot / Chetsey and Staines expected until the end of the day

Between Weybridge / Bracknell and Staines, between Guildford / Woking / Weybridge / Bracknall and London Waterloo, and also between London Waterloo and Reading

Description

Lines have now reopened following a fire next to the track between Virginia Water and Egham and a precarious tree in the Bracknell area.

Trains running between Wokngham / Bahshot / Chetsey and Staines may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised whilst service recovers.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Response teams have put out the fire and all lines have now reopened. Disruption will continue until approximately the end of the day whilst South Western Railway return the service to the schedule timetable.

Your ticket can be used, at no extra cost, on the following services:

Rail Services:

• Elizabeth line services between Reading and London Paddington

• Great Western Railway services Reading to London Paddington in both directions

• Great Western Railway services Windsor & Eton Central to Slough and change for Reading in both directions

• London Underground Bakerloo line services London Waterloo to London Paddington in both directions

Because your journey has been heavily disrupted, you can book your own taxi and claim the cost back through the South Western Railway website. This applies to travel between any stations served by South Western Railway between Twickenham and Reading. You will need to provide the following details to make a claim:
