Description
Following a points failure at Wakefield Kirkgate all lines have reopened. As service recovers, trains running through this station may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes, revised or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 12:00.

Services through Wakefield Kirkgate are currently disrupted following a points failure at the station.
How does this affect my journey?
All lines through Wakefield Kirkgate are now open; however, services may still be subject to delays and possible cancellation whilst staff work to get trains and crews back into the correct positions.
Services on the following routes will be affected by this disruption:
Between Sheffield and Leeds via Barnsley - Services are returning to normal but may be subject to delays
Between Knottingley and Leeds via Featherstone - Services will be suspended in both directions
Between Lincoln Central / Retford and Leeds - Services are returning to normal but may be subject to delays
Between Nottingham / Chesterfield and Leeds - Services are returning to normal but may be subject to delays
Northern services between Sheffield and Leeds via Moorthorpe, and also between Leeds and Knottingley via Castleford, are not disrupted due to this issue.

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

08:30 Leeds to Knottingley, calling at all stations via Featherstone. 1 full size bus operated by Ross Travel
08:50 Knottingley to Wakefield Westgate, calling at all stations via Featherstone. 1 full size bus operated by Ross Travel
