Description
There is a defective track at Cheshunt and Harlow Town. Trains are currently having to run at a slower and safer speed through the area, to prevent further damage. Network Rail will be carrying out urgent track repairs, requiring an eight-hour engineering block from 00:35 to 08:35 Sunday 7 December to carry out remedial work.
This will cause significant disruption to services on the West Anglia route. Early morning trains on Sunday will be affected from start of service until 08:35, with buses replacing trains between Waltham Cross and Hertford East / Stansted Airport.

23:42 London Liverpool Street to Hertford East

Accessible replacement buses will be running as follows;
00:30 (Sunday) Stansted Airport to Bishops Stortford, Harlow Town and London Liverpool Street – approx. 1hr 35m journey time. Please note that this service will depart from Coach Bay 4 at Stansted Airport and will set down passengers only
Sunday
Until approximately 08:35 Sunday morning:
Trains will be running between London Liverpool Street and Waltham Cross
Trains will be running between Bishops Stortford and Stansted Airport / Cambridge
Accessible replacement buses will run between Waltham Cross and Stansted Airport, calling at Broxbourne, Harlow Town and Bishops Stortford. You can see the bus timetable on this page.
The 07:09 and 08:09 Hertford East to Stratford services will be replaced by an accessible bus between Hertford East and Waltham Cross (approx 1hr journey time). Trains will be running from Waltham Cross to London Liverpool Street.
The 08:10 Broxbourne to Hertford East will be replaced by an accessible bus (approx 30min journey time)
You must allow plenty of time to make your journey, as you may need to wait for an available replacement bus.
Please note replacement buses cannot call at Cheshunt.
E-scooters, electric and full-size bicycles are not permitted on rail replacement vehicles.
Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains.
