Lines reopened: major disruption between Woking and Surbiton expected until the end of the day

Description

Following a tree blocking the railway at Walton-on-Thames all lines have now reopened. As service recovers, trains between Woking and Surbiton may still be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Response teams have cleared the tree from the track. The tree has since been removed, and all lines have now reopened. Due to train stock and crew displacement, services may still be delayed, revised or cancelled whilst services return to normal running.

  Trains to and from London Waterloo and Weymouth, Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Exeter St Davids and Alton are expected to be delayed, altered or cancelled through this station.

  • District line from Wimbledon towards Embankment and change at Embankment for Bakerloo line or Northern line to London Waterloo
