Description
Overrunning engineering works between Thorpe-le-Soken and Clacton-on-Sea / Walton-on-the-Naze means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains are unable to run and will be cancelled or revised.
This is expected until 08:30.
Customer advice:
Unfortunately, a set of points were damaged during last night's engineering works in the Thorpe-le-Soken area, resulting in disruption to train services between Walton-on-the-Naze and Thorpe-le-Soken.
Alternative travel options:
Greater Anglia tickets will be accepted on the following alternatives, at no extra cost:
Konnect bus route 105 & 107: between Walton-on-the-Naze, Thorpe-le-Soken and Colchester.
Konnect bus route 74 & 76: between Clacton-on-Sea and Colchester
Konnect bus route 3: between Thorpe-le-soken and Clacton-on-sea
Rail replacement transport:
Rail replacement vehicles are being requested to run between Walton-on-the-Naze and Thorpe-le-Soken but are not yet confirmed. At present, these are not expected to be in place before 08:00, so please delay your journey until the buses are confirmed.

Network Rail engineers are on site working to restore the points and the train service to normal.
