Description
A fault with the signalling system in the Woking area means that some lines are disrupted. As a result, trains running through this stations may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
South Western Railway will be possibly having to make some changes to services from Guildford to London Waterloo, so as to provide a more reliable and resilient service during the period of hot weather.
This will mean that customers on services from Guildford to London Waterloo calling at Worplesdon, Woking, West Byfleet, Byfleet & New Haw, Weybridge, Walton-on-Thames, Hersham, Esher, Surbiton, New Malden, Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Clapham Junction and London Vauxhall may experience short-notice alterations and changes to their service.
This is due to a set of points in the Woking area that at high rail temperatures can impact the normal operation of infrastructure and equipment.
