Description

Following a points failure in the Worksop area, all lines have now reopened. Whilst service recovers, trains running between Sheffield / Mansfield Woodhouse and Worksop may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

Trains running through the area can now start to run again, however they may still be subject to short notice alterations.

How do I get where I need to be?

Rail replacement bus services will continue to run whilst the train service recovers.

Rail replacement buses will run in both directions, extending journey times by 30 minutes. These are advertised in journey planners, along with the calling points.

Northern customer advice:

What's happened?

Services between Sheffield and Worksop are currently being disrupted due to a points failure.

How does this affect my journey?

Train services are now able to run between Sheffield and Worksop (in both directions). However, whilst the service recovers, trains will remain subject to delays and may be cancelled.

Northern services between Sheffield and Nottingham are not affected.

What should I do?

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
