Description

There is broken rail between Doncaster and York, closing all northbound lines running between these stations.

Those services that are able to travel north through the area are doing so by sharing the same line used by the trains that are travelling south. This is causing heavy delays to services.

Trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted to avoid the affected area.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

A visual disruption map video is available.

LNER customer advice:

Services running between Doncaster and York may be diverted via Leeds. This may add up to 30 minutes to your journey.
