Description
The emergency services dealing with an incident between York and Darlington / Middlesbrough / Sunderland means all lines are closed. As a result, trains will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Major disruption is expected until 18:00.

You can also travel via the west coast route in both directions, on the following services, at no extra cost:
Avanti West Coast between Birmingham New Street and Edinburgh
TransPennine Express between York and Preston
Northern between York and Preston, and also between Newcastle and Carlisle
Road transport is being requested to operate between York and Newcastle in both directions. Further information will be provided once confirmed.
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them.
