Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Bath Spa / Bristol Temple Meads / Weston-super-Mare / Taunton / Exeter St Davids / Plymouth / Penzance and also between Cardiff Central / Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury / Southampton Central / Portsmouth Harbour / Brighton

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Bristol Temple Meads and Trowbridge, closing all lines.

Great Western Railway:

Trains will not run between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa / Westbury.

As a result, replacement buses will run between:

  • Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa (fast).
  • Bristol Temple Meads and Westbury (calling at Bath Spa).
  • Bristol Temple Meads and Trowbridge (calling at Keynsham, Oldfield Park, Bath Spa and Bradford-on-Avon).
  • Bristol Temple Meads and Frome.
  • Bath Spa and Swindon.
  • Bradford-on-Avon and Westbury (calling at Trowbridge).
  • Bath Spa and Bradford-on-Avon (calling at Freshford and Westwood Village for Avoncliff).
  • Swindon and Chippenham.
  • Chippenham and Westbury (calling at Melksham and Trowbridge).

Train services will be amended and retimed, with some trains being cancelled entirely.

Services that usually run to / from Brighton will be diverted to run to / from Portsmouth Harbour instead. Customers for stations towards Brighton should use alternative services.

South Western Railway:

There will be no South Western Railway service between Westbury and Bristol. Please use Great Western Railway replacement buses.
