London Northwestern Railway / West Midlands Railway running between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street

Engineering work is taking place between Smethwick Rolfe Street and Birmingham New Street, closing various lines before 09:50 on Sunday.

Before 09:50, trains between Shrewsbury / Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street / Walsall / Rugeley Trent Valley will be diverted, not calling at stations between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street.

Replacement buses will run between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street.


  • The 08:45 Wolverhampton to Birmingham New Street service will not run.
  • The 09:09 Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton service will be replaced by a bus.
  • The 09:18 Wolverhampton to Northampton service will start from Birmingham New Street at 09:37.
