Engineering work is taking place between Didcot Parkway and Swindon, closing all lines.


Due to platform constraints at Swindon:

Swindon - Westbury:

The 08:45 Swindon to Westbury will depart earlier at 08:36. Normal timings from Chippenham and beyond.

The 10:12 Westbury to Warminster will start from Swindon.

The 11:05, 13:05, 15:05, 16:02, 21:07 Swindon to Westbury will start at Chippenham with rail connections between Swindon and Chippenham.

The 07:37, 08:35, 18:35 Westbury to Swindon will arrive Swindon a few minutes later than normal.

Due to platform constraints at Bristol Parkway as a result of the diversion of London Paddington - Swansea trains, most trains between Bristol Parkway and Weston-super-Mare will start / terminate Filton Abbey Wood.

The 07:38 Taunton to Bristol Parkway and 07:43 Bristol Temple Meads to Bristol Parkway will terminate Filton Abbey Wood.

Westbury - Swindon:

The 10:05, 12:05, 14:07(departing 14:05) and 15:00(departing 15:45) Westbury to Swindon will terminate Chippenham with rail connections
between Chippenham and Swindon.

Saturday and Sunday

No trains will operate between Didcot Parkway and Swindon:

London Paddington - Swansea / Carmarthen:

These trains will operate in special timings and will divert between Reading and Bristol Parkway, not calling Didcot Parkway and Swindon. They will call additionally at Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads, then call Bristol Parkway, before continuing to / from Swansea.

London Paddington - Bristol Temple Meads (some beyond):

These trains will operate in special timings and will divert between Reading and Bath Spa, not calling (Didcot Parkway), Swindon and Chippenham.

London Paddington - Cheltenham Spa:

These trains will operate between Swindon and Cheltenham Spa only.


Trains will operate (hourly) between Swindon, Chippenham, Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads.

Replacement buses will operate (2 buses per hour each way) between:
Reading and Swindon taking 65 minutes; Didcot Parkway and Swindon taking 55 minutes.

London Paddington - Oxford:

Due to the diversion of High Speed Services between London Paddington and Bristol/Swansea over the route via Newbury the following will apply:

Didcot Parkway

Most (fast) trains between London Paddington and Oxford (and beyond) will call additionally Didcot Parkway.

Trains will depart London Paddington and Oxford a few minutes earlier than normal to incorporate the additional stop.

Most local trains from Didcot Parkway to Oxford will be retimed to depart 6 minutes later than normal.

Most local trains from London Paddington to Didcot Parkway will arrive Didcot Parkway a few minutes later than normal.

Newbury / Bedwyn:

Most trains between London Paddington / Reading and Newbury / Bedwyn will operate in revised timings, with some cancellations.
