Cardiff Central (CDF)

Rail replacement buses will be operating between Cardiff Central/Cardiff Queen Street and Bargoed/Rhymney on 6 and 7 December to allow essential testing of the OLE. During this rail closure, all railway stations, station footbridges, and level crossings from Rhymney to Caerphilly will be closed and fenced off.

Saturday 6 December:

To Bargoed: Rail replacement bus from Cardiff Central - rear car park
To Rhymney: Rail replacement bus from Cardiff Queen Street - Dumfries Place, next to Sainsbury’s

Sunday 7 December:

Rail replacement buses will depart from Cardiff Central as normal, all stopping at Cardiff Queen Street.

From Sunday 14 December, an extra service will run on Saturday evenings from Cardiff Central - Hereford.

Queueing System:

Due to the Wales v South Africa rugby match on Saturday 29 November, a post-event queueing system will be in place at Cardiff Central. This is for the safety of all customers.

Cardiff Bus Interchange Closure:

Cardiff Bus Interchange will close from 11:00 until 19:15 on Saturday 29 November in line with road closures.

Taxi Rank Closure:

Saunders Road taxi rank will close and there’ll be a temporary taxi rank at the rear of the Cardiff Central station on Saturday 29 November.

The Saunders Road taxi rank will close between 10:45 - 23:59.

The pop up taxi rank at the rear car park on Penarth Road will be available between 06:00 - 16:00.
