Buses replace trains between Birmingham New Street and Coleshill Parkway

Due to engineering work, buses will be replacing trains between Birmingham New Street and Coleshill Parkway, calling at Water Orton. This will affect you if you're making a 'last-minute' journey between Birmingham and Nottingham / Leicester / Cambridge / Stansted Airport before Christmas.

Thursday 25 December - Christmas Day

No service

There will be no CrossCountry services on Christmas Day.

Friday 26 December - Boxing Day

No service

There will be no CrossCountry services on Boxing Day.

Saturday 27 December

Buses will replace trains between Ely and Stansted Airport

Due to engineering work closing the line between Cambridge and Stansted Airport, CrossCountry will be running replacement buses direct between Ely and Stansted Airport (in both directions).

Amended service between Sheffield and York

Due to engineering work closing the line used by CrossCountry between Leeds and York, trains will be diverted and will not call at Wakefield Westgate and Leeds. Alternative trains will be available between Leeds and York.

Due to engineering work closing the line between Cambridge and Stansted Airport, CrossCountry will be running replacement buses direct between Ely and Stansted Airport (in both directions).

Due to late night engineering work, the 23:09 Birmingham New Street to Nottingham train will terminate at Derby. A replacement bus will run from Derby to Nottingham.
