Saturday 23 December

No changes to services have been announced.

Christmas Eve Sunday 24 December

Train services will stop running earlier than normal.

Due to engineering work between London Kings Cross and Peterborough, trains will only operate to and from Peterborough or St Neots and will not call at London Kings Cross. Customers travelling to or from London will need to use replacement buses between St Neots and Bedford, and Thameslink services between Bedford and London.

Due to engineering work between York and Darlington, buses will replace trains between these stations.

Christmas Day Monday 25 December

No service.

Boxing Day Tuesday 26 December

No service.

Wednesday 27 December

Train services will start running later than normal.

Thursday 28 December

No changes to services have been announced.

Friday 29 December

No changes to services have been announced.

Saturday 30 December

Due to engineering work, the 21:00 London Kings Cross to Newcastle service will terminate at York. A rail replacement coach service will be provided from York to Northallerton, Darlington, Durham and Newcastle.

New Year’s Eve Sunday 31 December

On New Years Eve, services will finish earlier than usual.

Due to engineering work on Sunday morning, a Newcastle to Darlington shuttle train service will run, with a rail replacement coach service provided between Darlington and York. Services between  Leeds, York and London Kings Cross will run to an amended and reduced timetable until 11:00.

New Year’s Day Monday 1 January 2024

On New Years Day, services will start later than usual and run to an amended timetable.

On New Years Day, no LNER services will be operating between Edinburgh and Glasgow, Stirling, Aberdeen or Inverness.

Tuesday 2 January

The 07:55 Inverness to London Kings Cross service will start from Perth.
