Early May Bank Holiday:

Saturday 4 May

No changes to train services have been announced.

Sunday 5 May

Due to engineering work taking place between Sole Street and Rainham, and between Strood and Rainham, some lines will be closed.

Sole Street Line: Trains between London Victoria and Ramsgate / Dover Priory via Chatham will only run between London Victoria and Sole Street. Additional trains will run between Rainham and Ramsgate / Dover Priory.

Highspeed via Gravesend: Trains between London St Pancras International and Ramsgate via Faversham will only run between London St Pancras International and Strood.

Sheerness Line: Trains between Sittingbourne and Sheerness-on-Sea will be retimed.

Sidcup Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Gravesend via Sidcup will not run. Services which usually only run between London Charing Cross and Dartford via Sidcup will stop additionally at Albany Park and will be extended to run to / from Strood.

Accessible replacement buses will run between:

  • Meopham and Rainham calling at all stations except Sole Street

  • Strood and Rainham calling at all stations

All lines will be closed due to engineering work in the Tonbridge area.

Hastings Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Hastings will only run between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks. Additional trains will run between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings.

Paddock Wood Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate / Dover Priory via Tonbridge will run hourly, and be diverted between London Bridge and Ashford International to run via Maidstone East calling additionally at Otford (for connections to / from Sevenoaks) and Maidstone East. At Ashford International, the train will divide and one portion of coaches will run between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West, and the other portion will run between Ashford International and Dover Priory via Folkestone Central.

Additional trains will run between Paddock Wood and Ashford International.

Accessible replacement buses will run between:

  • Sevenoaks and Paddock Wood calling at Tonbridge only

  • Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells calling at all stations

Monday 6 May - Early May Bank Holiday

Network Rail will be carrying out essential maintenance on the lines between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.

From 23:50, buses replace trains between Ashford International and Canterbury West / Ramsgate. 

Network Rail will be carrying out essential maintenance on the lines between Faversham and Ramsgate via Margate.  

From 23:30, buses replace trains between Faversham and Margate / Ramsgate. 

Late May Bank Holiday:

Saturday 25 May

Due to engineering work between Gravesend and Higham, High Speed trains between London St Pancras International and Ramsgate via Gravesend will only run between London St Pancras International and Gravesend.

Accessible replacement buses will run between:

  • Gravesend and Rochester calling at Strood only (buses towards Rochester will continue to Gillingham)

  • Gravesend and Strood calling at Higham (minibus)

Due to engineering work between Brixton and Nunhead / Ravensbourne, the following changes will be made:

Bexleyheath Line: Trains between London Victoria and Dartford will not run. Additional trains will run between London Cannon Street and Dartford via Bexleyheath.

Sole Street line:
Trains between London Victoria and Gillingham via Denmark Hill will run non-stop between London Victoria and Bromley South.

The 09:10, 10:10 and 11:10 London Victoria to Dover Priory and 17:18, 18:18 & 19:18 Dover Priory to London Victoria services will be diverted to run to / from Ramsgate.

Connecting trains will run between Faversham and Dover Priory.

You can use Thameslink accessible replacement buses between Herne Hill and Beckenham Junction via Denmark Hill and Catford. Also London Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment, Cannon Street, London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo. Plus London Bus routes P12, 78 and 484 between Denmark Hill and Lewisham.

Sunday 26 May

London Charing Cross, Waterloo East and stations on the Hayes line will be closed all day due to engineering work. The following changes to services will be made:

Paddock Wood Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate / Dover Priory via Tonbridge will run to and from London Cannon Street.

Hastings Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Hastings will run to / from London Cannon Street.

Grove Park Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks via Grove Park will run to / from London Cannon Street.

Sidcup Line: Trains which usually run between London Charing Cross and Dartford will run to and from London Cannon Street and will be extended to Gravesend. Trains which usually run between London Charing Cross and Gravesend will not run.

Hayes Line: Trains between London Charing Cross and Hayes will not run. Accessible replacement buses will run between Lewisham and Hayes.

Your ticket can be used on London Underground, London Buses and Docklands Light Railway.
