Thursday 24 December - Christmas Eve
Train services will finish earlier than normal
Due to engineering work taking place on the network, services will finish earlier than usual on Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 December. Please check that you can complete your entire journey before you travel.
Buses will replace trains between Sheffield and Scunthorpe
Due to major engineering work in the Doncaster area, trains on the route between Liverpool Lime Street and Cleethorpes will only run between Liverpool Lime Street and Sheffield, and between Scunthorpe and Cleethorpes.
A replacement bus service will run between Sheffield and Scunthorpe.
Changes to very early morning trains from Manchester Airport
Due to overnight engineering work in the Manchester Airport area, the following Thursday morning service changes will be made:
02:28 Manchester Airport to York will start from Manchester Piccadilly at 02:44
04:07 Manchester Airport to Scarborough will start from Manchester Victoria at 04:30
04:28 Manchester Airport to Redcar Central will start from Manchester Piccadilly at 04:45
Rail replacement buses will operate between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly / Victoria. Please check your journey as the buses will depart earlier than the normal train service.
Friday 25 December - Christmas Day
No service
No trains will operate on Christmas Day.
Saturday 26 December
No service
No TransPennine Express trains will operate on Saturday 26 December.
Sunday 27 December
Train services will start later than normal
Due to engineering work taking place on the network, services will start later than usual on Sunday 27 December.

Due to major engineering work between Stalybridge, Huddersfield and Mirfield, no trains will call at Huddersfield, but will call additionally at Brighouse.

20:26 Cleethorpes to Liverpool Lime Street service will be diverted and will not call at Urmston, Irlam, Birchwood, Warrington Central or Liverpool South Parkway. A rail replacement bus service will run from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street, calling at all stations
23:19 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Airport service will not call at Liverpool South Parkway, Warrington Central, Birchwood, Irlam or Urmston. A rail replacement bus service will run from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Oxford Road, calling at all stations
