Getting a train over the August Bank Holiday?
There are service changes from Saturday 26 to Monday 28 August, so be in the know before you go
Network Rail urges passengers to plan their journeys over the August Bank Holiday in advance. There are planned essential engineering works taking place as they work to improve the railway.
Some train services will be affected and there will be disruption to services on many routes between Saturday 26 and Monday 28 August 2023 (inclusive).
So, be in the know before you go and check before you travel.

Due to industrial action by the RMT union and planned engineering works, there will be reduced train services in England between Saturday 26 August and Monday 28 August. Due to industrial action by the RMT and ASLEF unions, there will be reduced train services in England on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 September.
Some cross-border journeys into Scotland and Wales will also be disrupted on these days.
