Description
Engineering work is taking place from 22:10 on Saturday until 15:10 on Sunday between Westbury and Castle Cary, closing all lines.
Great Western Railway:
Saturday:
The 22:15 and 23:06 Bristol Temple Meads to Frome will terminate Westbury. A replacement bus service will operate at 23:12 and 00:03 (Sunday) from Westbury to Frome taking 20 minutes.
The 23:16 Frome to Westbury will not run and will be replaced by a bus at 23:37 from Frome to Westbury taking 20 minutes.
Sunday:
Until 10:00:
The 09:00 Westbury to Weymouth will start from Castle Cary. An earlier replacement bus will depart from Westbury, Frome and Bruton to connect into the train.
The 08:01 Weymouth to Cardiff Central will terminate Castle Cary (and restart Westbury). A replacement bus will depart from Castle Cary, Bruton and Frome to Westbury for later rail connection to Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central.
From 10:00 until approximately 15:00:
Trains between Bristol Temple Meads / Swindon and Frome / Weymouth will terminate / start at Westbury.
Trains between Westbury and Frome will not run.
A replacement bus service will operate between Westbury and Frome taking 25 minutes.
Trains will then operate between Frome and stations to / from Weymouth.
After 15:00:
Some minor amendments, trains will then operate to a normal timetable.
South western Railway:
