Description

Engineering work is taking place between Portsmouth Harbour and Hilsea, closing some lines.

Great Western Railway

Trains between Portsmouth Harbour and Westbury / Bristol Temple Meads / Cardiff Central will start / terminate at Fareham.

Replacement bus services will run between Portsmouth Harbour, Portsmouth & Southsea, Fratton, Cosham and Fareham.

Replacement bus services will only call at Cosham until 20:00.

South Western Railway

Buses will operate between:

  • Portsmouth Harbour and Havant.

  • Portsmouth Harbour and Fareham.

Southern

Buses will replace trains between Portsmouth Harbour and Havant.

Rail replacement buses are expected to be extremely busy, so please allow extra time to travel in case you need to wait for the next bus.

  • Trains that usually run between Brighton and Portsmouth Harbour will run to and from Bognor Regis only. Alternative Southern services are available between Barnham and Havant.

  • Trains that usually run between London Victoria and Portsmouth Harbour will run to and from Havant only.

  • Trains between Brighton and Southampton Central will call additionally at Portchester.

On Sunday, replacement bus services will not call at Fratton from 11:00 until 19:00. If you are travelling to / from Fratton during this time, you should make use of rail replacement bus services to / from Portsmouth & Southsea to complete your journey. Portsmouth & Southsea is a short distance from Fratton, approximately 18 minutes by foot.
