Southern between Southampton Central and Brighton

Description

Engineering work is taking place between Southampton Central and Bournemouth, closing all lines.

CrossCountry:

On Sunday only, buses will run between:

  • Eastleigh and Southampton Central / Bournemouth

  • Southampton Airport Parkway and Southampton Central / Bournemouth

Great Western Railway:

On Saturday and Sunday, trains between Cardiff Central and Portsmouth Harbour will divert between Romsey and Fareham (via Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh where they will call additionally). They will not call Southampton Central.

Replacement buses will operate (hourly) between Eastleigh and Southampton Central taking 20 minutes.

South Western Railway:

After 23:45 on Saturday and all day on Sunday, an amended timetable will operate, trains will not call at Southampton Central.

Replacement buses will operate between:

  • Eastleigh and Romsey

  • Eastleigh and New Milton

  • Eastleigh and Bournemouth

  • Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier

  • Southampton Central and Fareham

  • Southampton Central and Bournemouth

Southern:

On Saturday and Sunday, buses will replace trains between Havant and Southampton Central.

Trains which usually run between Brighton and Southampton Central will be diverted to run between Brighton and Portsmouth Harbour calling additionally at Fratton.

Journey times will be increased on replacement buses.
