Description

A fault on a train at Bruton means that some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Castle Cary and Westbury may be delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.

Where possible, some Great Western Railway services may divert via an alternative route extending journey times.

Disruption is expected until 09:00.

Great Western Railway customer advice:

If you are at Castle Cary / Bruton / Frome you are advised to board the next available service to Taunton and change for services towards Bristol and onwards to London Paddington.

If you are at Westbury travelling to Reading / London Paddington you are advised to board the next available service to Bath Spa and change for alternative services.

You may use your ticket onboard First Bus route D2 between Frome and Bath at no extra cost.

South Western Railway customer advice:

It is not known when the line is meant to open, until then there may be delays and short notice alterations in the area.
