Description
A safety inspection of the track in the Earley area means that all lines are blocked. Trains running between Gatwick Airport / Wokingham and Reading will be cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until approximately 17:00.
Train operators have received a report about a section of track near to Reading which requires inspection and possible remedial work.
Great Western Railway customer advice:
Trains will be cancelled between Gatwick Airport and Reading.
You may use your ticket at no extra cost on:
Elizabeth line services between Reading / London Paddington and Farringdon where a straightforward interchange is available with Thameslink service to Redhill and Gatwick Airport - the same arrangements will apply in reverse for customers travelling from Gatwick Airport / Redhill.
South Western Railway services between Wokingham and Ascot, changing there for train services to Ash Vale (a short distance from North Camp station), Wokingham and Clapham Junction where Southern services are available to Redhill / Reigate and Clapham Junction - similar arrangements apply in reverse for customers from Gatwick Airport, Redhill and Reigate.
South Western Railway customer advice:
Trains will be revised to not run between Wokingham and Reading.
Until further notice the following alterations will apply:
London Waterloo to Reading and Reading to London Waterloo services will run between London Waterloo and Wokingham in both directions
The following stations will not be served, Winnersh, Winnersh Triangle, Earley and Reading
The Wokingham to London Waterloo services will depart from Wokingham at the following times 23 (xx:23) and 53 (xx:45) minutes past the hour

Reading Buses 500 between Winnersh Triangle and Reading
Reading Buses 4 and X4 between Bracknell - Wokingham - Winnersh - Earley - Reading
Thames Valley Buses 128 & 129 between Wokingham - Winnersh - Reading
Great Western Railway services between Reading and Paddington for connections to LondoN
Elizabeth line between Reading and London Paddington in both directions.
London Underground services between London Paddington and London Waterloo.
South Western Railway have requested shuttle buses to run between Wokingham and Reading.
