Great Western Railway between Portsmouth Harbour and Cardiff Central

South Western Railway between Fareham / Portsmouth Harbour and London Waterloo, and between Portsmouth & Southsea and Southampton Central

Description

Lines have reopened following an earlier fault with the signalling system at Fareham. As service recovers, trains running in the Fareham area may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 19:00.

South Western Railway customer advice:

You can continue to use train services as normal, but please allow extra time for your journey if possible due to knock-on delays from this earlier disruption.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following local bus services:

  • Bluestar Buses routes:

    • 3 between Southampton - Bitterne - Hedge End - Botley - Eastleigh

    • 13 between Southampton - Woolston - Bitterne

    • 14 between Southampton - Bitterne - Hedge End

    • 15 between Southampton - Woolston - Sholing - Netley - Hamble

    • 19 between Southampton - Woolston - Sholing

    • 20 between Southampton and St Denys
