Thameslink / Great Northern customer advice:
We don't have an exact estimate for the delay to your journey, but please leave at least 90 minutes of extra time, or travel once lines reopen, if you can.
Trains which are already in the area will be severely delayed. This includes Thameslink and Great Northern services.
There will be a number of cancellations and service changes at short notice. These changes will include services diverting onto the route through Hertford North.
Some services will also finish their journeys before they reach the area for example, they may not continue north of Finsbury Park, especially services from Moorgate.
There may also be some service changes affecting trains which are normally due to run via Hertford North. To reduce congestion, stopping services may not always call at all the usual stations.
Please continue to check our journey planning tools, and when travelling, check station screens and listen to announcements.
Stations not being served:
There will currently be no service at New Southgate, Oakleigh Park, New Barnet, Hadley Wood, Potters Bar, Brookmans Park, Welham Green, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Welwyn North or Knebworth.
Alternative journey options:

Because of this, you may wish to consider using a different route.
