Description
A fault with the signalling system between Portsmouth Harbour and Portsmouth & Southsea means that all lines are disrupted. As a result, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 08:00.

Trains to / from Portsmouth Harbour are being delayed by a signalling problem at the junction just outside the station.
This affects Southern services, and also South Western Railway and Great Western Railway.
To reduce congestion, some Southern services will be amended at short notice.
Some trains may need to avoid this part of the network, and start or finish their journeys at alternative stations, such as Portsmouth & Southsea or Fratton.
You may need to change trains or wait longer for a service to your destination.

Following overnight works in the Portsmouth Harbour area, Network Rail need to carry out a controlled procedure to reset some parts of the signalling system. This can only be done by trains running in a specific order, and drivers will also need to gain verbal instructions before continuing.
As this takes extra time, there is some congestion.
