Description

Following a fault with the signalling system between Thetford and Ely all lines have reopened. As service recovers, trains running between Norwich and Ely may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

Network Rail engineers have rectified the problem.

Greater Anglia customer advice:

Limited buses have been sourced to run between Ely and Thetford which are estimated to be in place by 12:00.

There is a mutual ticket acceptance in place where you can use your ticket at no extra cost between Greater Anglia, CrossCountry, and East Midlands Railway between Stansted Airport and Cambridge / Ely / Norwich.

Customers are also able to travel to Stansted Airport from Norwich via London Liverpool Street, then change and travel on Stansted Express services.

Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
