Description

The emergency services are dealing with an incident near the railway between Reading and Wokingham. Whilst they do their work, all lines are closed. Trains running between these stations will be cancelled or revised.

Trains will be revised to not run between Reading and Wokingham.

Disruption is expected until approximately 12:00.

You may use your ticket at no extra cost on the following services:

  • Elizabeth line between Reading and London Paddington

  • London Underground Circle and District lines to London Victoria

  • South Western Railway between Basingstoke / Guildford and Clapham Junction

  • Southern between Gatwick Airport, Clapham Junction and London Victoria

  • Thameslink between Gatwick Airport and Farringdon

If your train is cancelled, you may travel where available on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.

Replacement transport provided by us such as a buses, coaches or taxis, have been requested.

South Western Railway customer advice:

Services between Reading and London Waterloo are affected. Trains from London Waterloo to Reading will terminate at Bracknell, and trains from Reading to London Waterloo will start from Bracknell until further notice.

In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all power to the track will need to be switched off in the affected area.

Your ticket can be used, at no extra cost, on the following services:

  • Elizabeth line between Reading and London Paddington

  • Great Western Railway between Reading and London Paddington

  • Great Western Railway between Reading and Guildford

  • London Underground - Bakerloo line between London Waterloo and London Paddington or change at Baker Street from the Bakerloo line to the Jubilee line for London Waterloo

  • Reading Buses 3 between Reading and Wokingham

  • Reading Buses 4 and 4a between Reading , Earley, Winnersh Triangle, Winnersh, Wokingham and Bracknell
