Early May Bank Holiday:

Saturday 4 May

Due to engineering work between Stafford and Crewe, the following reduced service will operate:

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Birmingham New Street and Stafford and between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street only.

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Crewe will run between Birmingham New Street and Stafford only.

Train services between London Euston / Northampton and Crewe will run between London Euston / Northampton and Stafford only.

Trains between Stafford and Crewe (via Stoke-on-Trent) will run as normal.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Stafford and Crewe.

Due to engineering work between Coventry and Birmingham New Street, buses will replace trains between Coventry and Birmingham International.

Trains between London Euston / Northampton and Birmingham New Street will run between London Euston / Northampton and Coventry and between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street (at a reduced level of frequency).

Trains between Coventry and Birmingham New Street will run between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street only.

Sunday 5 May

Travelling to/from London? You’re advised to travel either side of the weekend to avoid significant disruption, longer journey times and rail replacement bus services. This is due to the following changes:

Due to engineering work train services between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central will not be able to run. Trains will terminate and start back from Milton Keynes Central and will not run through to central London.

You can travel on London Overground trains between London Euston and Watford Junction. Replacement buses will run between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central, calling at interim stations.

You can also travel between London and Milton Keynes Central using other operator's trains between London St Pancras International and Bedford, and connecting buses between Bedford and Milton Keynes Central.

Due to engineering work between Stafford and Crewe, the following reduced service will operate:

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Birmingham New Street and Stafford and between Crewe and Runcorn only.

Trains between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Crewe and Runcorn only.

Trains between London Euston / Northampton and Crewe will run between Milton Keynes Central / Northampton and Stafford only (engineering work will also be taking place between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central).

Trains between Stafford and Crewe (via Stoke-on-Trent) will run as normal.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Stafford and Crewe and between Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway. You are advised to travel on Merseyrail train services between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Central.

Due to engineering work taking place between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston, the following changes will apply:

Train services between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central will not run. You can travel on London Overground trains between London Euston after 08:45 trains between London Euston and Northampton will run between Milton Keynes Central and Northampton only.

After 12:00 a special hourly shuttle train service will run between London Euston and Watford Junction (after 21:00 trains from London Euston to Watford Junction will call at Bushey to set down only).

Rail replacement buses will operate between:

  • Watford Junction and Northampton until 08:45

  • Watford Junction and Milton Keynes Central after 08:45 (not calling at Cheddington between 07:00 and 22:00).

  • Leighton Buzzard and Cheddington.

  • Bedford and Milton Keynes Central for more direct journeys between London and Milton Keynes Central.

Due to engineering work between Coventry and Birmingham New Street, buses will replace trains between Coventry and Birmingham International.

Trains between London Euston / Northampton and Birmingham New Street will run between London Euston / Northampton and Coventry and between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street (at a reduced level of frequency).

Trains between Coventry and Birmingham New Street will run between Birmingham International and Birmingham New Street only.

Due to engineering work between Crewe and Liverpool South Parkway, buses will replace trains between Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway. You should use Merseyrail services between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool.

Monday 6 May - Early May Bank Holiday

Due to engineering work between Stafford and Crewe, the following reduced service will operate:

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street will run between Birmingham New Street and Stafford and between Crewe and Runcorn only.

Trains between Birmingham New Street and Crewe will run between Birmingham New Street and Stafford only.

Train services between London Euston / Northampton and Crewe will run between London Euston / Northampton and Stafford only.

Trains between Stafford and Crewe (via Stoke-on-Trent) will run as normal.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Stafford and Crewe and between Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway. You are advised to travel on Merseyrail train services between Liverpool South Parkway and Liverpool Central.

Due to engineering work between Coventry and Birmingham New Street, buses will replace trains between Coventry and Birmingham International.

Late May Bank Holiday:

Saturday 25 May

Due to engineering work on the direct line between Stafford and Crewe, replacement buses will operate between Stafford and Crewe. Trains operating between Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent will run as normal.

Sunday 26 May

Due to early morning and late night engineering work between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby, the following changes will be made:

Until 08:30: Train services between London Euston and Northampton will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central only. The 07:24 London Euston to Birmingham New Street service will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central and between Northampton and Birmingham New Street only. Rail replacement buses will operate between Milton Keynes Central and Northampton.

After 23:00: Train services between London Euston and Northampton will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central only. Trains between London Euston and Coventry / Birmingham New Street will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central and between Northampton and Coventry / Birmingham New Street only. Rail replacement buses will operate between Milton Keynes Central and Northampton.

Due to engineering work on the direct line between Stafford and Crewe, replacement buses will operate between Stafford and Crewe. Trains operating between Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent will run as normal.

Monday 27 May - Late May Bank Holiday

Due to morning engineering work between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby, the following changes will be made:

Until 07:00: Train services between London Euston and Northampton will not run, or will run between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central only. Trains from Birmingham New Street / Coventry to London Euston will run between Birmingham New Street / Coventry and Northampton only.

Until 12:00: Tring and Bletchley will have a reduced level of service.

Due to engineering work on the direct line between Stafford and Crewe, replacement buses will operate between Stafford and Crewe. Trains operating between Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent will run as normal.
