Christmas Eve Sunday 24 December

Services will run as normal until around 19:00, when services will begin to wind down. Details of the time of the last train on each route can be found on the ScotRail website.

Christmas Day Monday 25 December

No service.

Boxing Day Tuesday 26 December

Services will operate on the following routes only:

  • Glasgow – Cumbernauld/Falkirk Grahamston: Service withdrawn.

  • Glasgow – Alloa: Services will operate via Cumbernauld, calling all stations.

  • Glasgow – Edinburgh via Falkirk High: Trains will be diverted, running non-stop via Cumbernauld. Trains will call at Falkirk Grahamston.

  • Aberdeen/Inverness – Glasgow: Services will terminate at Perth/Stirling, with a combination of rail replacement and the option to change trains at Stirling.

Thursday 28 December

Due to engineering work in the Dumbarton area, the following changes will be made:

  • Trains between Edinburgh / Airdrie and Helensburgh Central will start / terminate at Dumbarton Central. Buses will replace trains between Dumbarton Central and Helensburgh Central.

  • Trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Oban / Fort William / Mallaig will be replaced by a bus between Glasgow Queen Street and Crianlarich.
