Description

Engineering work is taking place between Cambridge and Peterborough, closing all lines.

CrossCountry:

Buses will replace trains between Stanstead Airport / Cambridge North and Peterborough.

East Midlands Railway:

Saturday and Sunday:

There will be a revised timetable on the Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street route, with trains starting / terminating at Peterborough. There will be no train service between Norwich and Peterborough.

There will be a direct connecting rail replacement bus service running between Norwich and Peterborough.

If you are travelling to stations between Norwich and Peterborough, you are advised to use other rail operators services.

Saturday:

There will be an additional train between Peterborough and Nottingham, departing Peterborough at 20:28, calling Grantham at 20:59, arriving Nottingham at 21:32.

Sunday:

The 11:42 Manchester Piccadilly to Peterborough train will start from Sheffield at 12:45, it will no longer call at Manchester Piccadilly, Stockport or Dore and Totley. A connecting rail replacement bus will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield, calling at Stockport.

The 12:51 Liverpool Lime Street to Peterborough train will start from Sheffield at 14:48, it will no longer call Liverpool Lime Street, Liverpool South Parkway, Widnes, Warrington Central, Manchester Oxford Road, Manchester Piccadilly or Stockport. A connecting rail replacement bus will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Sheffield, calling at Stockport.

Great Northern:

Buses replace all trains between and Kings Lynn / Ely and Cambridge North. A revised train service will run between:

  • Cambridge North and London Kings Cross (Saturday and Sunday)

  • Cambridge North and Brighton (Saturday only)

Greater Anglia:

Rail replacement buses will operate between:

  • Cambridge / Cambridge North and Thetford

  • Bury St Edmunds and Peterborough

A few early morning / late night replacement buses will run between Ipswich and Peterborough to maintain connections.

Trains will continue to operate between:

  • Ipswich and Cambridge

  • Stansted Airport and Cambridge North

  • Thetford and Norwich
