Don’t forget your Railcard

Book in Advance

Great British Festivals 2026
London: Mighty Hoopla, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May
The UK’s ‘most fabulous extravaganza’, Mighty Hoopla continues its reign as Britain’s top pop festival at Brockwell Park this summer, with Lily Allen, Jessie J, Todrik Hall, Scissor Sisters, Five and Alexandra Burke all set to perform over 2 days in the capital.

Manchester: Parklife, Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June
Parklife returns to Heaton Park in the heart of Manchester, where a stellar line up of acts including Calvin Harris, Sammy Virji, Skepta, Zara Larsson, Josh Baker, Kettama, Rudimental, Chris Stussy and many more will perform. Birmingham: Birmingham Mela, Sunday 26 July
UK’s biggest South Asian music festival, Birmingham Mela returns to Victoria Park, Smethwick this July. Music, dance, food, arts and crafts and lots more will bring the sights, sounds and spicy aromas of South Asia to Smethwick this summer – a joyful event that you won’t want to miss.
The festival is a 10-minute walk from the station.

Newcastle: Mouth of the Tyne, Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 July
A vibrant celebration of the north east’s heritage and artistic talent, Mouth of the Tyne once again takes place in Newcastle this July with The K’s, Ministry of Sound Classical, Ellie Sax, Utah Saints, Self Esteem, Heidi Curtis, James and many more performing over 4 days at Tynemouth Priory and Castle. Expect stunning views out to sea, delicious street food, great local music and street entertainment.
Tynemouth Metro station is about 20 minutes’ walk from the festival.

Glasgow: TRNSMT, Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June
Scotland always delivers the atmosphere and TRNSMT Festival, taking place in Glasgow Green in the city’s centre this June will be no exception. 4 stages across the site’s 50-plus acres will showcase the best of established and new and up and coming acts from the British and international music scenes, with Richard Ashcroft, Wolf Alice, Kasabian, Sonny Fodera, Lewis Capaldi, and Amy Macdonald all headlining across 3 days. Suffolk: Latitude, Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 July

If you have little ones in tow, it doesn’t get much better than Camp Bestival, with the Dorset festival proving a top choice for family fun. Designed by families for families, Camp Bestival brings together the fun of family-friendly camping with everything you would expect from a traditional festival and then some. Newquay: Boardmasters, Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 August
If surf, sea and sounds is what you’re after, you won’t want to miss Boardmasters in Newquay this August. Inspired by the freedom, adventure and creativity of surfing and music, Boardmasters’ 5-day event, located across 2 of Cornwall’s most stunning beaches will keep you both active and grooving to incredible live music, featuring headliners Fatboy Slim, The Kooks, Tash Sultana, Lily Allen, Kasabian, Rudimental and more. Expect surf lessons, yoga sessions, spoken word and all-round good vibes.
Get dropped right at the entrance by hopping on a Boardmasters shuttle bus, operating throughout the festival from Newquay station.

Wales: Green Man, Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August
Experience the beauty of Wales in the wonderful and eclectic surroundings of Green Man festival this August. The festival boasts a wide range of activities and attractions across 10 areas, including music, comedy, literature, art and science and much more, attracting a diverse audience of music lovers and creatives from across the globe. Mogwai, Wilco, Four Tet and Wolf Alice are some of the many musical highlights this year.
