From Bonfire Night to Diwali, the skies are alight in October and November across Great Britain. See our pick of the best events and how to get there by train

We’ve rounded up some of the biggest and best fireworks displays for 2026. With events across the country, from London to Southampton, Cardiff, Aberdeen and more, and additional entertainment to enjoy, like music, food and funfairs, there’s something for everyone.

1. Mini Fireworks Festival at Godstone Farm

Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October

A fireworks display with all the bright lights but less of the noise, as it uses low bang fireworks – perfect for young kids or those who are sensitive to noise. Anyone can enjoy this sensory-friendly spectacular, as well as the lasers, jugglers, stilt-walkers and more on offer.

2. Fireworks & Drone Festival at Alexandra Palace

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

With stunning views over the whole of London, this fireworks display also has an epic drone show. This year, Saturday offers the full festival experience, while Sunday is a more family-friendly affair. Whichever day you go, you will be able to enjoy a giant bonfire, funfair, music and more.

3. Bonfire and Fireworks at Chatsworth House

Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October

Set in the grounds of the historic Chatsworth Estate, both nights of the events have 2 displays, an earlier kid-friendly one and a later grand finale. There’s also music, stilt-walkers, a fire-performer and other family entertainment.

4. Ascot Fireworks Spectacular Family Raceday

Saturday 31 October

The jumps season kicks off with this special day. Races take place throughout the day, and there are rides and entertainment for the whole family. The evening’s event sees over 20,000 fireworks shooting across the sky.

5. Southampton Fireworks 2026 – The POP EXPLOSION!

Saturday 7 November

Taking place at Mayflower Park, this year the South Coast’s biggest fireworks event is going big on pop hits. The display is choreographed to huge tunes from the likes of ABBA, Taylor Swift, and K-POP favourites, and there is food and drink, and rides galore.

6. Battersea Park Fireworks

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

South London’s biggest fireworks display is created by the team behind the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. There are 2 different shows over the weekend – Saturday is an adult-oriented night with a DJ set from Rudimental and a post-event disco ceilidh, while there is a more family-friendly atmosphere on Sunday. But both nights will feature amazing fireworks, the Whizzbang Wonderful fairground, street food and bars.

7. Aberdeen Fireworks 2026

Thursday 5 November

This dramatic display takes place on Aberdeen’s North Pier, against the backdrop of the North Sea, with spectators viewing the fireworks from the Esplanade.

8. SophiaWorks Fireworks Display in Cardiff

Thursday 5 November

Taking place at the Sophia Gardens Stadium, this is the largest firework display in Cardiff, with rides, street food and live entertainment too.

9. Alton Towers Resort: Ultimate Fireworks Night Spectacular

Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November

Celebrate the end of the theme park’s season with this special event. Thrill to the roller coasters, rides and attractions (you can even ride many of them in the dark as the park stays open late!), then watch the dazzling display.

10. Diwali Fireworks Display in Harrow

Saturday 7 November

Celebrate Diwali and Guy Fawkes Night with a day-long festival in Byron Park that culminates in a huge fireworks display. Beforehand, enjoy a Diwali choreography dance team, face-painting, henna art, food and more.

11. Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular

Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November

Spend the day at the castle and explore the house and gardens, then enjoy an epic fireworks display set to songs that celebrate the theme of Time, alongside stunning projections and lasers. Food, music and more add to the experience.
