From Bonfire Night to Diwali, the skies are alight in October and November across Great Britain. See our pick of the best events and how to get there by train

We’ve rounded up some of the biggest and best fireworks displays for 2025. With events across the country, from London to Milton Keynes, Cardiff, Edinburgh and more, and additional entertaintment to enjoy, like music, food and funfairs, there’s something for everyone.

1. Mini Fireworks Festival at Godstone Farm

Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October

A fireworks display with all the bright lights but less of the noise, as it uses low bang fireworks – perfect for young kids or those who are sensitive to noise. Anyone can enjoy this sensory-friendly spectacular, as well as the lasers, jugglers, stilt-walkers and more on offer.

2. Fireworks & Drone Festival – Halloween Spooktacular at Alexandra Palace

Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November

With stunning views over the whole of London, this fireworks display also has an epic drone show, and this year there is a Halloween theme to the whole event. Plus, enjoy a giant bonfire, funfair, music and more.

3. Bonfire and Fireworks at Chatsworth House

Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November

Set in the grounds of the historic Chatsworth Estate, both nights of the events have 2 displays, an earlier kid-friendly one and a later grand finale.

4. Ascot Fireworks Spectacular Family Raceday

Saturday 1 November

The jumps season kicks off with this special day. Races take place throughout the day, and there are rides and entertainment for the whole family. The evening’s event sees over 20,000 fireworks shooting across the sky.

5. SkyFest FireworX in Milton Keynes

Saturday 1 November

Taking place at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, this is the UK's largest 360° firework display. The immersive event features fireworks, drones, lasers, light and sound for a spectacular show.

Nearest station: Milton Keynes Central

6. Battersea Park Fireworks

Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 November

South London’s biggest fireworks display is created by the team behind the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations. There are 2 different shows over the weekend, with a more adult-oriented night on Saturday and a family-friendly atmosphere on Sunday.

7. Fawkes Festival in Edinburgh

Sunday 2 November

Held at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, this event not only has fireworks and a bonfire, there’s also loads of live music, food and a funfair.

Nearest stations: Edinburgh, Haymarket. A special bus service, 98, runs to the Royal Highland Centre

8. SophiaWorks Fireworks Display in Cardiff

Wednesday 5 November

Taking place at the Sophia Gardens Stadium, this is the largest firework display in Cardiff, with rides, street food and live entertainment too.

Nearest station: Cathays

9. Alton Towers Resort: Ultimate Fireworks Spectacular

Friday 7 to Sunday 9 November

Celebrate the end of the theme park’s season with this special event. Thrill to the roller coasters, rides and attractions (you can even ride them in the dark as the park stays open late!), then watch the dazzling display.

10. Diwali Fireworks Display in Harrow

Saturday 8 November

Celebrate Diwali and Guy Fawkes Night with a day-long festival in Byron Park that culminates in a huge fireworks display. Beforehand, enjoy a Diwali choreography dance team, face-painting, henna art, food and more.

Nearest station: Harrow and Wealdstone

11. Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular

Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November

Spend the day at the castle and explore the house and gardens, then enjoy an epic fireworks display, alongside music, projections and lasers. Food, music and more add to the experience.
