Trains to Birmingham

Birmingham New Street railway station which can be found in the centre of Birmingham. It is the largest and busiest of three main stations serving Birmingham, after Birmingham Moor Street and Birmingham Snow Hill.

Recently re-opened following a multi-million pound refurbishment, the station is covered with a giant atrium which allows for natural light and has a brand new concourse, 12 refurbished train platforms 15 new customer lifts and 36 new escalators and staircases.

Birmingham New Street also holds the distinction of being the busiest train station outside of London and is a major connection point for those needing to change trains heading east to west and north to south.

Virgin Trains services from London Euston, Glasgow Central and Edinburgh Waverley via the West Coast  Main Line are very popular and frequent. the station is also served by CrossCountry which operate services to Aberdeen and Penzance and more local stations within the West Midlands.

All three Birmingham stations are close to a number of attractions, including entertainment venues such as theatres, concert halls and comedy clubs. There are also many shops, bars and restaurants in the area giving plenty of options for a fun day out.
