Please check before you travel during the Easter weekend

The next Easter Bank Holiday weekend will be from Friday 3 April 2026 (Good Friday in England, Wales and Scotland) until Monday 6 April 2026 (Easter Monday in England and Wales). This travel summary page will start being updated for 2026 approximately 12 weeks prior to those dates. We look forward to your return visit then.

Planned engineering works and upgrades will be taking place at numerous locations during Easter as Network Rail complete essential work to give you better journeys for the long term.

Some train companies will also be making changes to their timetable, and to some train times, to match services to the number of customers travelling.

So we do recommend that you plan your Easter weekend travel in advance. Be in the know before you go and check before you travel using the National Rail Journey Planner (via the link below) which will show updated Easter timings. Please read any important information and useful travel advice relating to your journey which may show with warning symbols on your journey results.
